Sigma Design is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician IV to lead advanced electrical builds, independently develop test strategies, and act as a subject matter expert within the technician team. You will drive process improvements, mentor peers, and collaborate with engineering and management to support department goals in an in-office environment with standard hours.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• 8+ years in prototype and R&D environments.
• Expert in electrical builds, test, and debug.
• Experience mentoring junior team members.
• Strong documentation, planning, and execution skills.
• IPC Certification strongly preferred.
• Excellent English communication and teamwork.
• Ability to collaborate across groups and protect sensitive data.

Responsibilities

• Execute and improve complex electrical builds with minimal engineering input.
• Consult on best practices in prototyping, soldering, and test.
• Independently develop and refine test methods and fixtures.
• Drive process documentation and cross-department collaboration.
• Mentor technicians and serve as a go-to technical expert.
• Coordinate with engineers and managers to support goals.
• Follow policy to protect data and reduce security occurrences.
