Job summary

The Bergaila Companies are seeking an Electrical Specialist IV to keep the power flowing at a critical oilfield site in McCamey, TX. You will maintain and troubleshoot complex electrical systems, including 4160 VAC, MCCs, and switchgear, ensuring safety and reliability on site.

Required: high school diploma or GED, strong diagnostic skills, ladder logic and VFD experience, NEC/OSHA knowledge, and the ability to read electrical drawings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Diagnostics and repair skills for complex electrical distribution systems.
• Experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing switchboard control panels, motor circuits, building and lighting circuits, and control circuits.
• Ability to interpret mechanical relay logic and ladder logic.
• Skilled in programming simple ladder logic and VFDs.
• Proficient in reading electrical drawings, including circuit schedules, plans, wiring diagrams, and motor schematics.
• Comfortable using all electrical testing and troubleshooting equipment.
• Knowledge of NEC and OSHA standards.
• Capable of supervising electrical contract work safely and effectively.
• Strong communication skills to interface with electrical engineers and energy providers.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance on low-voltage electrical equipment such as switchgear and breakers.
• Good computer skills and familiarity with electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient with 4160 VAC systems and overhead power line troubleshooting.
• Deep understanding of Motor Control Center (MCC) operations and substation functionalities.
• Knowledge of synchronous motor troubleshooting and operations.
