Job description

PureGrid Electrical is looking for a Senior Electrical Project Manager who combines technical engineering rigor with a high-performance, entrepreneurial mindset. You are a natural leader and a master of execution who can effortlessly command complex, fast-track industrial power distribution projects from design through commissioning.

You excel at acting as a single point of accountability—managing aggressive schedules, optimizing multi-million dollar budgets, and building bulletproof relationships with our general contracting partners, owners, and design teams. If you are a self-starter who thrives in a design-build environment, values safety and absolute accuracy above all else, and takes immense pride in delivering sophisticated electrical scopes on time, you’ll fit right in.

What We Can Offer You
  • Industry-leading performance-based bonus program
  • Traditional and Roth 401(k)
  • Tuition reimbursement for associates
  • Scholarship for associates’ children up to $28,000 per child
  • 1-week paid volunteer leave each year
  • 100% charitable match
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage
  • Paid parental leave

We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
  • Total Project Ownership: Lead the flawless execution of large-scale, heavy industrial electrical projects, taking total accountability for safety, budget control, and schedule certainty.
  • Design-Build Collaboration: Partner closely with GC project managers, in-house engineers, and owners early in the preconstruction phase to define scope, evaluate constructibility, and optimize electrical system designs.
  • Financial Management: Drive profitability by managing project budgets, approving major equipment and material procurement (switchgear, transformers, etc.), forecasting cash flow, and rigorously negotiating change orders.
  • Field Liaison & Support: Team up with our Field Operations Manager and on-site General Superintendents to ensure clear project plans are cleanly executed, tracking daily trade productivity and site logistics.
  • Client & Partner Relations: Serve as the primary, highly responsive communication bridge between PureGrid and major general contractors like ARCO/Murray, ensuring alignment across fast-track nationwide portfolios.
  • Schedule & Risk Management: Utilize advanced scheduling tools to proactively identify utility interconnection bottlenecks, long‑lead equipment delays, or sequencing issues before they hit the critical path.
Necessary Qualifications
  • Experience: 8–12+ years of dedicated Project Management experience within the commercial or industrial electrical subcontracting space. Proven track record managing fast‑track, design‑build projects is highly preferred.
  • Technical Background: A deep, comprehensive understanding of medium‑to‑heavy industrial electrical systems, including major equipment power distribution, high/medium‑voltage substations, data centers, or complex logistics/manufacturing facilities.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical business field is highly preferred.
  • Software Proficiency: Expert-level capability with modern construction management software; extensive hands‑on experience with Procore and Bluebeam is required.
  • Leadership & Communication: Exceptionally strong written, verbal, and negotiation skills, with a pragmatic, hands‑on approach to problem‑solving and a knack for building trust with sophisticated GC partners.
  • Travel & Location: Ability to travel as required to support nationwide projects during critical phases (turnover, major utility cut‑overs, commissioning). Role is based out Austin, TX.
