Job summary

MWH is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to support electrical scope at a critical wastewater treatment plant project in San Francisco, CA. The role requires strong NEC knowledge and extensive field experience on large infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities include procurement support, submittal reviews, cost estimation, and maintaining meticulous documentation and schedules. Join a team delivering essential public works with safety and quality at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or construction management with electrical emphasis.
• 5+ years electrical construction experience at jobsite level on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of NEC and electrical installation practices.
• Experience on large heavy civil construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to project management and supervision to ensure electrical work is efficient and compliant.
• Assist with procurement, scheduling, submittal review, and cost estimation for electrical scope.
• Perform quality inspections of electrical installations for compliance with permits and codes.
• Prepare and manage documentation like submittals, status reports, and as-built drawings.
• Generate drawings and sketches supporting electrical construction, temporary power, and change orders.
• Prepare method statements and secure permits prior to execution.
• Investigate design issues, resolve RFIs, and track them to resolution.
• Layout control lines and conduits for precise installations.
• Maintain project documentation and tracking systems for electrical progress and pay applications.
• Attend and document electrical progress in meetings; generate weekly/monthly reports.
• Assist with claims analysis, change orders, and record management.
• Support estimating with quantity takeoffs and vendor coordination.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed on all electrical work.
