Job summary

JetZero in Long Beach, CA is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, test, and integrate electrical power generation and distribution for the demonstrator aircraft. You will work with propulsion, avionics, and other teams to ensure compliance and optimal performance.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in electrical power systems for Part 25 aircraft, with strong troubleshooting and system integration skills. This role is based on-site in Long Beach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical or aerospace engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical power systems design for Part 25 aircraft.
• Experience with power generation, distribution and testing.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate, and test AC electrical power generation systems.
• Review and update electrical power distribution architecture, including load analysis.
• Conduct electrical power system analysis for load balancing.
• Develop and review electrical test plans and perform bench and in-flight testing.
• Define electrical power system components and coordinate supplier integration.
• Design the aircraft current return path and grounding network strategy.
• Develop system documentation and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with propulsion, structures, avionics, and thermal teams.
