Job summary

Ulteig Engineers, Inc. in Sacramento, California is seeking a Senior Electrical Power Engineer to lead industrial power distribution, control and protection projects.

You will review drawings, coordinate with client resources, and support integration and commissioning at client sites and remotely. The role requires 8–15 years of power industry experience, strong reporting skills, travel to sites, and permanent US work authorization.

Qualifications

• 8 - 15 years of related experience within the power industry.
• Technical expertise with industrial power systems and equipment.
• Ability to be organized and provide clear reports/data as required.
• Proven experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Must be able to travel to project sites as required.
• Must have permanent work authorization for the US.

Responsibilities

• Attend regular project team meetings.
• Review plant power distribution, control, and protection system design drawings.
• Verify that interfaces and dependencies are aligned based upon drawing reviews.
• Provide timely comments/feedback after performing drawing reviews.
• Assist with integration and commissioning of all electrical, protection, and control systems.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
• Demonstrate excellent leadership, verbal/written communications, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Maintain customer focus to meet or exceed customer expectations and represent Ulteig in a professional and courteous manner.
• Perform work remotely and at the client site.

The Opportunity

Ulteig Engineers Project Management team has an opportunity to hire a Senior Electrical Power Engineer based out of Sacramento, California. This position requires extensive knowledge about industrial power distribution, control systems, protection systems, auxiliary systems, lighting, and associated layout. Experience is required with integration and commissioning of electrical systems, protection, and controls systems. Project coordination skills will be needed to align client engineering resources, proactively resolve technical issues, and effectively communicate with project stakeholders. Some of the work will be performed remotely; however, occasional office and site visits may be required.

Additional Opportunity Details

Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $147,800 - $200,200

• Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role
