Senior Electrical Engineer – Power Generation
We are seeking a qualified Senior Electrical Engineer to help our clients develop, contract, and implement natural gas and potentially renewable energy generation projects while serving as Owner’s Engineer and/or Advisor.

Responsibilities
- Assist clients in developing, contracting, and implementing natural gas and renewable energy generation projects.
- Serve as Owner’s Engineer and/or Advisor for power generation design projects.
- Lead teams for power generation design projects, including support in traditional Owner’s Engineering roles.
- Mentor junior engineers and oversee project execution.
- Manage client relationships and support marketing activities such as proposal technical writing, fee builds, and work breakdown structure development in response to RFPs.
- Perform design and engineering of record work for power plant systems, including power generation and distribution, protection and motor control design, power system studies, construction and equipment specification, and balance of plant systems such as raceway, lighting, and grounding.
- Collaborate with Project Manager and Project Controller on project reviews and management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program with an Electrical Power emphasis.
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Control Systems Engineering with an Electrical Power emphasis.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in electrical power generation design.
- Design experience with simple cycle and combined cycle power generation.
- Previous experience with an engineering power consulting or EPC firm.
- Excellent communication, written, and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently as a lead on a multi-discipline team.
- Extensive knowledge of three-phase electrical power, protection and control design and settings development, system grounding, physical design, and related activities such as lighting, grounding, instrumentation and control, and life safety systems.
- Experience with project review and management collaboration.
- Less than 10 % travel required for client and vendor meetings and site visits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Power Market Sector.
- Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
- Extensive experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and standard Power Market Sector design software (e.g., PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, Revit).

Salary and Benefits
Target salary range: $108,661 – $204,250 (annually). Salary may be adjusted based on experience, education, and geographic location.
