Job summary

Ruveon in Muscatine, IA seeks a Senior Electrical Maintenance Engineer to ensure reliable plant performance. You will analyze data, lead root cause analyses, and implement reliability-centered maintenance across 480V–13.8kV systems.

You will coordinate turnarounds, support electrical infrastructure projects, and work with OEMs and SAP for spare strategies and documentation. Strong safety focus required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field required.
• Minimum six years of progressive engineering experience or Master’s with four years.
• Experience with high voltage systems up to 13.8 kV preferred.

This role involves analyzing data to identify potential failures, implementing reliability-centered maintenance strategies, and developing improvement plans to enhance operational uptime. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to establish metrics, conduct root cause analysis, and integrate best practices that promote long-term reliability and efficiency.**TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**Responsibilities of the Senior Electrical Maintenance Engineer are included, but are not limited to the following:* Understand, follow and participate in the upkeep of Ruveon electrical norms, practices, standards, guidelines, and procedures staying current with industry standards, technology and improved safety methods;* Provides key equipment support for the maintenance of area process operations; identifies, evaluates, specifies, and selects process equipment to ensure the reliable and safe operation of the assigned assets;* Ensure the operability, reliability, and integrity of the assigned assets;* Provides support for electrical distribution systems and infrastructure projects within the Muscatine facility including switchgear, transformers, transmissions, arc flash and monitoring;* Understanding of electrical infrastructure voltages ranging from 480V to 13.8KV;* Manage larger, complex turnarounds of the assigned assets;* Support the coordination and scheduling of assigned plant safety and reliability inspections;* Review results and support plan, design, and execution of necessary repairs and/or modifications to resolve discrepancies identified by the Electrical Reliability group;* Leads and participates in root cause analysis, asset criticality analysis and failure mode and effect analysis studies to improve reliability of the area equipment;* Evaluate and provide electrical engineering and/or project management services with respect to electrical infrastructure ensuring the achievement of project and operational objectives within the full life cycle of the project;* Responsible for identifying, evaluating, and implementing equipment and process modifications to eliminate deficiencies, bottlenecks, and process problems including motors, instrumentation, control and heat-trace systems, networking and SAP;* Works with OEM suppliers, local vendors and the stores warehouse to develop appropriate spare strategies, while effectively utilizing Ruveon resources;* Ensures compliance with safety and environmental requirements and engineering standards regarding equipment and NFPA70e;* Complies with site safety rules and actively works to improve safety through coaching or engineered improvements;* Develop and maintain the following equipment documentation: equipment descriptions, spare parts, equipment lists, histories, manuals, flow sheet documentation, drawings, etc.* Provides equipment-specific technical training on the operation and maintenance of process equipment in process operations; supports start-up of equipment and unit operations; improves equipment performance to enable best practices in site operations;* Fosters experience exchange and promote knowledge transfer with other Plant Engineers;* Promotes continued development of self and area personnel through peer coaching and providing constructive feedback;* Provides technical support necessary to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable operations;* Helps plant adapt to change and drive continuous improvement and reliability;* Measures of success include short- and long-term plant performance, individual and team accomplishments;**Required Qualifications:*** Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.**Preferred Qualifications:*** Six years of progressive engineering experience OR Master's degree with four years of engineering experience;* Experience with DC/AC voltage up to 13.8kV (a plus)* Working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NFPA 70 and 70E)This posting will expire on October 12, 2026.*Employees can expect to be paid a salary of $96,560.00 - $144,840.00per year. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
