Job summary

The Electrical Field Superintendent will be embedded in our client's PMO, coordinating with other superintendents and subcontractors on large hi-tech buildings. This role is site-based and requires managing scope from start to finish, scheduling, QA/QC, safety, and RFIs/submittals.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years of field supervision, 4+ years with 3 years supervisory experience, and strong experience in low voltage electrical construction, industrial/high-tech projects, and PM software such as

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of low voltage electrical construction.
• Experience on large industrial or high-tech fabrication projects.
• Familiar with low voltage distribution, UPS equipment, electrical installations on large mechanical and process equipment, and cleanroom environments.
• Experience in organizing technical data; familiar with CSI specification system for construction.
• Proficient in Windows and MS Office 365; basic network understanding.
• Experience with PM software such as Prolog, Procore, E-Builder, Bluebeam, MS Project, and Primavera P6.
• Experience with design software like AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks.
• Training in reading design/construction documents; understanding of design specs and survey theory.
• Strong visual observation, interpretation skills; ability to work under pressure.
• Team player with collaboration across departments and leadership levels.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate changing construction sequences.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day activities with other superintendents, low voltage electrical subcontractors, and other discipline subcontractors.
• Supervise multiple subcontractors and craft employees.
• Maintain and adjust project schedule daily.
• Manage RFIs and submittal materials for client/review with Architect.
• Manage and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Provide solutions to design and constructability issues.
• Respond to client requests and resolve issues using technical expertise.
• Interpret and implement proper installations in compliance with local codes and site specs.
• Provide supporting information regarding field conditions and scope for cost estimates.
• Facilitate contractor activity to ensure performance per contractual agreements.
• Assist with management of project staffing.
• Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
