Job summary

Hunt Electric is seeking an Estimator 3/Sr. Estimator to coordinate with Business Development and Project Managers for complete electrical estimates. Focused on commercial projects with occasional healthcare, industrial and mission critical work, the role emphasizes accuracy, mentoring, and ownership of estimates.

The position involves supervising bidder quotes, managing subcontract data, and ensuring proper documentation. A strong emphasis on teamwork and communication is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two-year degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred.
• 8+ years of electrical estimating experience needed.
• Experience training and mentoring estimators preferred.
• Strong skills with Excel, Bluebeam, and Accubid/Enterprise software.

Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret design drawings and specifications from multiple disciplines.
• Schedule and participate in estimating kickoff meetings.
• Lead bid reviews with the estimating team and prepare quotations.
• Estimate labor, materials, and subcontracts for projects.
• Develop estimating standards and mentor team members.
