Job summary

ATALNT is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator for our Phoenix, AZ office to lead and prepare accurate electrical estimates for commercial projects across Arizona.

The role requires 10+ years of estimating experience and 3+ years as a senior estimator, with the ability to review drawings, price labor, materials, and subcontractors, mentor junior staff, and support preconstruction and pursuit efforts.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of recent commercial electrical estimating experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a Senior Electrical Estimator.
• Experience in US commercial electrical construction bids.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate estimating workload, bid schedules, and project priorities.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, addenda, schedules, and bid documents.
• Perform detailed electrical quantity takeoffs, including low-voltage systems, controls, generators, specialty electrical systems.
• Prepare labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Analyze project schedules, manpower requirements, sequencing, and cost impacts.
• Develop proposal letters, scope clarifications, exclusions, qualifications, and value engineering recommendations.
• Prepare conceptual budgets and detailed project estimates.
• Support project turnover and collaborate with Project Management, Purchasing, and Operations teams.
• Assist with change-order pricing, negotiated projects, and design revisions.
• Maintain estimating databases, labor units, historical cost information, and material pricing.
• Track bid performance, post-bid analysis, and estimating metrics.
• Improve estimating processes and systems.
• Mentor and support junior electrical estimators.

Compensation: Up to $120,000 per year (Depending on Experience)

The company supports projects across commercial, industrial, healthcare, manufacturing, semiconductor, mission critical, and institutional sectors.

Known for quality, accuracy, collaboration, and cost-effective construction solutions, the organization is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join their Phoenix team.

This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive electrical estimates, supporting preconstruction efforts, and contributing to project pursuit and company growth. The ideal candidate can independently manage complex bids, analyze project requirements, and mentor junior estimating team members.

This is a fully in-office position in Phoenix, AZ. Remote and hybrid schedules are not available.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of recent commercial electrical estimating experience
• 3+ years of experience as a Senior Electrical Estimator
• Commercial electrical construction estimating experience within the United States
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, labor productivity, material pricing, and bid preparation
• Experience managing complex commercial electrical estimates from start to finish
• Ability to review drawings, specifications, and project requirements independently
• Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills
• Valid insurable driving record with no DUI/DWI convictions within the past three years
• Ability to successfully obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card
