Job summary

Lutron Electronics is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technical Manager for our Austin, Texas Engineering office. The role is a senior technical leadership position responsible for defining, guiding, and governing the electrical architecture of complex products across the company's portfolio.

You will lead a cross-functional team, ensure designs are robust, manufacturable, and compliant, and drive roadmaps, trade-off analyses, and design standards with a focus on quality and scalability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12+ years of engineering experience in product development.
• Advanced proficiency with CAD and PLM tools.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical, Computer, or Electronics Engineering (master's preferred).
• GPA of 3.0 or higher across degrees.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to develop senior and junior electrical engineers.
• Define the electrical architecture for new and existing products from concept through production.
• Translate system requirements into electrical design strategies and roadmaps.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to meet functional, aesthetic, and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to long-term technology roadmaps and R&D strategy.
• Support root-cause analysis and resolution of complex technical issues.
