Within AIS and Data Center Engineering, the Electrical Products and Services team is driving rapid innovation in electrical infrastructure used by AWS. Our engineers solve challenging technology problems and take big bets on new concepts, enabling AWS services to continue to revolutionize the industry. This role provides the opportunity to lead and manage the innovative team of electrical engineering builders developing and deploying the next generation of electrical infrastructure for our data centers. AWS is seeking an Engineering Manager for our team developing new infrastructure solutions that enable at-scale deployment of the latest liquid‑cooled racks into our data centers. We are looking for a manager with excellent people skills and prior electrical product development experience. This role will work closely with both AWS builders and third‑party manufacturers to develop infrastructure solutions on our behalf. If you have experience leading product design of electrical products, have an extensive understanding of electrical infrastructure solutions in data centers, and know how products should be manufactured to ensure quality, you may be a good fit. This role requires the ability to lead a team in developing detailed electrical equipment specifications and evaluating the merit and risks of design changes. As Amazon has a global presence, intermittent travel will be necessary and should be expected to be approximately 30% to AWS offices, data centers, suppliers, vendors, and product validation tests. While most travel will be domestic, some international travel may be required.

Our Electrical Product and Service (MPS) Engineering Manager works closely with key partners to innovate, create, manage, and support the complete lifecycle of our portfolio of electrical infrastructure solutions. This role will collaborate with internal and external partner teams to ensure products and solutions perform as intended. The EPS Engineering Manager of Electrical Solutions will work closely with electrical engineers to identify and mitigate design issues.

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or experience working in electrical engineering field
- 7+ years in data center design and product development/electrical/related product development.
- 5+ years managing teams of 40+ high performing associates with a proven track record of success and growth
- Master's degree or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Capable of managing a team where the problem, opportunity, and strategy may not be defined. Influences strategy; able to design the right workforce strategy to meet long-term targets and needs.
- Deep understanding of electrical infrastructure in data center environments

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
