Brown and Caldwell is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support projects primarily in Hawaii with a focus on industrial and municipal electrical design.
The ideal candidate will have a BS in Electrical Engineering and at least 10 years' experience in related industries, with responsibilities including project management, mentoring, and design delivery. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement and opportunities for professional growth.
Brown and Caldwell (BC) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to support our team in Hawaii. We are looking for a candidate with a broad experience in electrical design and management including: design and equipment upgrades, power system studies including arc flash hazards analysis, low and medium voltage power distribution system design in an industrial setting, equipment design and selection including motor control centers, drives, switchgear, panelboards, substation transformers, and related equipment, drawing creation including power plans and layouts, one-lines, wiring diagrams, for plant power. This position offers the opportunity for significant professional growth and the potential to collaborate with local and national teams. The candidate will have a broad range of responsibilities, which include mentoring junior and mid-level electrical and Instrumentation and Control (I&C) staff, interacting with clients, managing electrical and I&C related projects, and participating in new business development. In this role, your design delivery responsibilities will include power system modeling, conceptual design development, layout and selection of equipment, development of contract drawings using 2D and 3D design approaches, bid package preparation, field investigations, electrical and I&C design, and support during construction both in the office and the field. We are looking for candidates who have a passion for building things, meeting new people, and a desire to work with professionals who perform industrial and municipal electrical, and other water/wastewater work.
Position can be based anywhere in the Pacific or Hawaiian time zones.
Ideally this position would be based in our Honolulu office on a hybrid (2-3 days in office/week) work arrangement; relocation assistance is available.
For Pacific time zone based candidates, periodic travel to Hawaii may be required.
The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Location A: $118,000 - $161,000
Location B: $130,000 - $177,000
Location C: $142,000 - $194,000
