Job summary

Oceaneering is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer (Electrical Engineer 4) to join our Aerospace and Defense Technologies (ADTECH) engineering team. You will design and analyze power and control systems for underwater robotic and electromechanical platforms, supporting US Navy and other government customers.

You will lead electrical and control system designs, mentor engineers, and collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems teams to deliver robust, testable solutions in challenging

Qualifications

• BS or advanced degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or related with Electrical concentration).
• 10+ years practical experience in electrical/electromechanical/robotic systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government clearance (active clearances preferred).
• Must be a US citizen.
• Experience with COTS integration and interfaces.
• Experience with data communications interfaces (Ethernet, USB, RS-232/422/485, SPI, I2C, CAN).

Responsibilities

• Electrical design and analysis of major components and subsystems for underwater robotic and electromechanical systems.
• Lead electrical and control system designs and mentor engineers.
• Generate designs from incomplete requirements with autonomy.
• Lead design reviews and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Supervise/mentor junior engineers or technicians.
