Job summary

EAC Consulting, Inc. is seeking a licensed Electrical Engineer (PE) to join our Transportation Technology & Systems team in South Florida locations including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach. The role offers a hybrid schedule and opportunities to lead design and construction support.

The candidate will act as Engineer of Record where needed, perform calculations, mentor junior staff, and ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA and AASHTO/FDOT guidelines for complex transportation projects.

Qualifications

• Licensed PE required or ability to take/pass PE within 6 months.
• Florida PE required within 3 months of employment.
• 7–15 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA and national standards.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering codes and practices.
• Experience in Signalization, Lighting, Utilities, ITS and Tolling.
• Familiarity with AASHTO, FDOT, Green Book design criteria.

Responsibilities

• Act as Engineer of Record where needed.
• Provide design recommendations, adaptations and modifications.
• Perform calculations and prepare reports.
• Mentor junior project team members.
• Provide design and post-design services during construction.
• Develop plans, specifications and reports per standards and client requirements.
• Lead or support design processes to deliver projects.
• Coordinate design elements and perform field checks.
