Job summary

Nomad Global Communication Solutions (Nomad GCS) seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead design and development of electrical systems for its mission-critical platforms. You will create schematics, wiring diagrams, and CAD documentation while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance and supporting manufacturing.

You'll collaborate with Mechanical, IT, QA, and PM teams, mentor junior engineers, and drive improvements in manufacturability and reliability across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related ABET-accredited degree.
• 5–8 years electrical/system engineering experience.
• Experience with SolidWorks Electrical or similar tool.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support electrical systems for Nomad vehicles and platforms.
• Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and CAD documentation.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and customer requirements.
• Support manufacturing by resolving build issues and improving design clarity.
• Participate in design reviews, testing, validation, and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Mechanical, IT, Human Factors, Software, Production, Quality, and PM teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design for manufacturability.
