Job summary

Becton Dickinson in Durham, NC is seeking a senior electrical engineer to join the Pharmacy Automation robotics team. You will design, prototype, verify, and certify new robotic products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to move concepts to production.

You will apply advanced knowledge of motion control, power electronics, sensors and embedded systems to improve product quality and ensure regulatory compliance across UL/CE/TUV. On-site collaboration is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field.
  • 10+ years of applicable experience.
  • Experience with regulatory certifications (UL/CE/TÜV) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to design and productionize robotic product designs from concept to production.
  • Support global R&D teams on multiple projects in parallel.
  • Improve the quality and reliability of Pharmacy Automation products through electrical analysis and hands-on troubleshooting.
  • Provide electrical solutions for design changes, including test setups and diagnostics tools.
  • Create and release technical documentation for electrical systems.
  • Support regulatory certification efforts across product lines (UL, CE, EMI/EMC).
