We are seeking a founding Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in radio hardware and chip-down design to own the architecture, integration, development, and validation of sophisticated multi-radio systems for mission‑critical connected hardware.
As a founding member of our hardware team, you will help define how multiple wireless technologies coexist within highly integrated, battery‑powered devices. You will own critical radio hardware decisions from chipset and component selection through schematic design, PCB implementation, bring‑up, RF validation, certification, and mass production.
You will solve complex challenges across Land Mobile Radio (LMR), LTE/cellular, broadband wireless, RF coexistence, interference, isolation, EMI/EMC, power, and antenna integration, working closely with RF, Systems, Mechanical, Firmware, and Manufacturing teams.
This position offers a hybrid schedule, requiring team members to work onsite at one of our regional hubs, located in New York City, Boston, or Scottsdale, Arizona - Tuesday through Friday.

Pay TransparencyAxon offers a comprehensive total compensation package, which includes base salary, a generous annual bonus, and company equity. The starting base annual pay for this role is between $112,800.00 - $196,535.00 excluding annual bonuses and equity, depending on your geographic market. The actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and location—often a combination of these elements.
