Job summary

Integer Technologies is an applied research and product development company focused on DoD and government projects. The Senior Electrical Engineer will provide deep technical expertise in naval power and energy systems, delivering client-facing models, simulations, and reports while developing, testing and validating software for supervisory control of naval power systems.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; 8+ years in electrical power systems and/or microgrids.
  • Deep expertise with MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Experience with supervisory control methods for power systems, especially maritime systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop software to implement supervisory controls for power systems.
  • Support technical execution of power system modeling & simulation projects.
  • Build and validate models using MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Build and validate models for real-time simulation environments for hardware-in-the-loop environments.

Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Systems

About the role

  • ProvidedeeptechnicalexpertiseinNavalpower and energy systems,including hardware performance, physics, andcomponentcontrols, and supervisory system controls

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtainaDoWSecret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree inElectricalEngineering
  • 8+years ofprofessionalexperienceinelectrical power systemsand/or microgrids
  • DeepexpertisewithMATLAB/Simulink
  • Experience withsupervisory control methodsforpower systems, especiallymaritimesystems(e.g., machinery control systems, electric plant control systems)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability todeliverclear technical reports and concise briefings to stakeholders

PreferredSkills and qualifications:

  • Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in naval power systems design
  • Expertise programming in Python, C++, or similar
  • Deep expertise in real-time simulation & testing with Speedgoat or equivalent HIL platform
  • Experience in energy storage system design, modeling, and optimization
  • Expertise in laboratory testing, system integration, and data-driven validation
  • Expertise in electric machines and motor drives
  • Experience developing models for shipboard HM&E (hull, mechanical, and electrical) systems
  • Experience with Navy customers
