Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design on conventional power generation projects, deliver drawings, BOMs and specs, and guide multi-site teams.

The role requires 11+ years in the field, a home country PE license, and willingness to relocate to BV offices in Overland Park, Houston, Cary, Chattanooga, Ann Arbor, or Phoenix. Hybrid work may be offered after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Professional licensure to support engineer of record (PE).
• Minimum of 11 years related work experience in power generation.
• Active engineering registration or licensure to support BV projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design on conventional power generation projects and teams.
• Develop electrical drawings, including one-line and three-line diagrams.
• Prepare BOMs, equipment specs, and procurement documentation.
• Perform complex calculations: load flow, short circuit, arc flash.
• Interface with clients, attend on-site meetings, and support construction.
• Use ETAP/SKM, AutoCAD, and ProjectWise in daily work.
