Job summary

Airswift is recruiting a Principal Electrical Engineer for a long-term position in Billings, MT or Bismarck, ND. You will lead electrical engineering across a portfolio of oil, gas, and chemical projects, mentoring engineers and driving safe, high-quality outcomes.

Serve as a technical leader on electrical scope, review deliverables, and coordinate with management, clients, and other disciplines to meet objectives. Strong communication in English is essential.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering.
• Extensive oil & gas project experience in multi-disciplinary settings.
• 12+ years of industry experience.
• Experience with MV/LV distribution systems and protection.
• Experience in power systems studies and device settings.
• Knowledge of local/international standards; strong English communication.
• US PE status desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering delivery across multiple projects in oil, gas, and chemical sectors.
• Mentor and manage a team of engineers and designers; assign work and monitor progress.
• Plan and direct activities to ensure safe, high-quality, on-time outcomes.
• Provide technical direction and review deliverables for electrical scope.
• Collaborate with project management and stakeholders to meet objectives.
• Support procurement, construction, and commissioning activities and bid evaluations.
• Ensure changes are managed per project change processes and resolve conflicts.
