Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Irvine, CA to lead medium-scale design projects in embedded hardware, automation, and controls for medical devices. You will guide technical teams through the full product lifecycle, from concept to verification and design transfer.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of BSEE experience, strong CAD/PCB skills, and a background in analog/digital design, safety, and ESD. This permanent role offers competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required; Master’s or PhD is optional.
• 5+ years of related experience with BSEE; 3+ years with MSEE preferred.
• Experience in embedded hardware, automation, and controls.

Responsibilities

• Apply electrical design expertise across medium-magnitude projects.
• Lead design development from concept to verification and transfer.
• Provide technical guidance to Engineers, Technicians, and Designers.
• Develop system and subsystem requirements and create schematics/PCB designs.
• Coordinate testing with internal teams and external labs; ensure safety and ESD compliance.
• Prepare technical reports and proposals; support cost estimation.
