Job summary

Fluxergy is seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer to drive the hardware development lifecycle for diagnostic life sciences products in Irvine. You will design and review schematics, PCBs, wiring diagrams, and BOMs, collaborating with mechanical, firmware, software, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust, production-ready electronics.

You will own design activities from prototype to production, support hardware bring-up and verification, and create documentation to meet FDA and medical device

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on analog/digital hardware design and testing.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB design.
• Experience with medical devices or regulated industry preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and review electrical schematics, PCB layouts, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and system architectures.
• Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, software, and manufacturing teams to develop and integrate electronic systems.
• Own electrical design activities from design and prototyping through testing, troubleshooting, verification, and documentation.
• Support hardware bring-up, design verification, system integration, and prototype builds.
• Design and implement PCBA test fixtures and test procedures for manufacturing and functional testing.
• Troubleshoot hardware and system-level issues using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including design specs and verification protocols.
• Support PCB development from prototype through production and DFM.
• Ensure designs comply with FDA requirements and medical device standards.
