Job summary

Abbott in Plano, TX is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for Manufacturing in Neuromodulation. You will lead failure and root-cause analysis of products that fail during manufacturing and testing, and dive into PCB schematics, layouts and assembly processes for troubleshooting.

You will create test plans, develop protocols, design tooling, perform electrical testing and data analysis, interpret results, and propose next steps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems) or closely related field.
• 5+ years of experience in medical device manufacturing.
• Proficient in Visual Studio C# programming.
• Hands on experience with test equipment.
• Experience with AOI systems and Cognex vision debugging.
• Experience with documenting test procedures and results.

Responsibilities

• Lead failure and root-cause analysis of products that fail during manufacturing and test.
• Deep dive into PCB schematics, layouts and assembly processes for failure analysis and troubleshooting.
• Create test plans, protocol development, tooling/fixturing design, electrical testing and data analysis.
• Analyze data to identify trends and determine next steps.
• Modify Test Platform (SW and HW) as needed.
