Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 5 years experience developing complex electro-mechanical devices.
• Experience developing electrical circuit boards schematics and PCB layouts (Altium preferred).
• Experience taking designs from concept through production.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary teams for iterative design, integration and test.
• Strong ability to write specifications and detailed design documents.
• Proficient in debugging circuitry with hands-on testing and analysis; use of DMMs, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, waveform generators.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop circuit boards with mixed analog and digital circuitry; create schematics, manage PCB layout, and DFx activities.
• Perform testing, debugging, and failure analysis; build test fixtures for development and production.
• Create clear documentation including block diagrams, electrical requirements, design descriptions, test procedures, and failure analyses.
• Develop and design new prototype devices with originality and ingenuity.
• Decompose system requirements to derive electrical specs and architectures.
• Apply electronic design techniques to solve complex problems.
• Collaborate with mechanical, controls, systems, software, and test engineers for rapid development cycles.
• Follow DEKA design controls and documentation practices; manage external design partners and suppliers.
• Prioritize tasks and manage time across multiple projects.
