Job summary

GHD seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design across municipal, industrial, and federal projects from our California offices. You will mentor teams, coordinate with architects and other engineers, and deliver cost-effective solutions for critical infrastructure.

Candidates should have 7–10 years of experience, a California PE, and NAVFAC or federal project experience is a plus. We offer a hybrid work model with three days in-office.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of professional consulting engineering experience in water/wastewater or industrial projects.
• Registered Professional Engineer in California (Electrical).
• US Citizenship required due to Federal work.
• Experience with multi-discipline teams including architects and civil/structural engineers.
• Experience with NAVFAC or federal projects is a plus.
• Strong business development and proposal-writing experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for multi-discipline projects, managing budgets and delivery.
• Coordinate and mentor team members across design stages.
• Prepare proposals and support business development efforts.
• Collaborate with clients to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with California Energy Code and lighting controls.
