Job summary

Ocean Optics, a Halma plc subsidiary, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer I for its Rochester, NY site. You will design, build, and test hardware for imaging, spectroscopy, and color measurement, lead multi‑board PCB architecture, and develop prototypes with mechanical and software teams.

The role requires a BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering, 5+ years (or 3+ with MS), hands‑on expertise with Altium, high‑speed routing, signal integrity, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar.
• 5+ years of experience (or 3+ years with MS) in electrical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test new solutions for imaging, spectral sensing, and color measurement.
• Lead PCB design and electrical architecture for complex systems.
• Prototype, assemble, test, and troubleshoot complex hardware systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with mechanical and software teams.
