Job summary

L2x Talent Solutions seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer in Downers Grove, IL to develop complete electrical designs for high reliability embedded applications. The role covers schematic, layout, BOM generation, and EMI/EMC considerations, with ongoing support for existing products.

The ideal candidate will lead component selection for microcontrollers and battery/charger management, perform worst case analyses, and ensure manufacturability across a cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• BS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in New Product Development and electronics manufacturing in consumer, telecom, automotive, medical and/or military industries.
• Experience with electrical CAD modeling systems (Altium, OrCAD/Cadence) required, Altium preferred.
• Must be able to perform electrical schematic capture and conduct PCB layout.

Responsibilities

• Develop complete electrical designs, including schematic, layout, DFM, BOM generation, with EMI/EMC considerations.
• Design and document robust hardware analog/digital circuit architecture and power path structure for high reliability embedded applications.
• Lead electrical hardware component selection/optimization for microcontrollers and battery/charger management devices.
• Perform worst case circuit analysis and circuit simulations via EMA tools.
• Perform de-ratings and power stack-up analyses.
• Provide sustaining support to existing products and ensure electrical system integration and manufacturability.
• Conduct Electrical DFMEAs to meet customer specifications and requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integration and manufacturability.
