If you are an electrical hardware engineer seeking to escape the hyper-siloed, slow-moving structures of massive corporate conglomerates, this agile electronic product manufacturer offers an ideal career home. Operating as a stable, privately held industry leader with steady year-over-year expansion, this firm designs performance-critical electronic systems for demanding global applications. Thanks to a flat, collaborative structure, you will bypass corporate bureaucracy and enjoy direct technical autonomy over your work.
This is a true full-lifecycle engineering role for a multi-faceted hardware innovator. Rather than managing minor tweaks to pre-existing designs, you will take complete ownership of your products from initial blank-sheet concept and schematic capture through multi-layer PCB layout, component selection, lab prototyping, and production release across diverse industrial applications.
What You Will Be Doing (Daily Responsibilities)
- Architect Multi-Layer PCBs: Lay out complex multi-layer circuit boards from initial concept development through final production release.
- Design Power & Analog Topologies: Develop, test, and optimize robust power supply topologies, analog circuitry, and mixed-signal hardware for high-reliability applications.
- Create Complete Technical Packages: Generate detailed electrical schematics, precise technical specifications, component selections, and production-ready Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Lead Lab Diagnostics & Prototyping: Direct hands-on prototype assembly, lab testing, firmware debugging verification, and initial manufacturing line startups.
- Ensure Field Reliability: Perform circuit reliability analysis, component derating assessments, thermal evaluations, and generate Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
What We Are Looking For (Requirements & Qualifications)
- 4+ years of circuit design and PCB layout experience with a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) OR 10+ years of direct, advanced design experience in lieu of a degree.
- Power Supply & Analog Fluency: Demonstrated track record selecting components, simulating circuits, and optimizing power topologies or mixed-signal systems.
- Documentation Rigor: Ability to read, interpret, and author technical schematics, component specifications, and validation test plans.
- ISO & Quality Standards: Familiarity working in quality-driven, ISO-certified environments where traceability and compliance are critical.
- Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring current or future visa sponsorship.
Preferred Technical Assets (Bonus Skills)
- Circuit simulation proficiency using tools such as LTspice, PSpice, or Altium.
- Exposure to mechanical enclosure integration and 3D CAD platforms (SolidWorks or Inventor).
- Basic embedded systems awareness or microcontroller firmware literacy (C/C++).
