Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and implementation of electrical systems for mission-critical facilities, including data centers and high-tech manufacturing environments. This role requires deep expertise in power distribution, grounding, UPS, and redundancy to ensure 24/7 uptime.

You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, and stay ahead of industry trends to deliver reliable, efficient and compliant electrical infrastructure in

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years in Electrical Engineering with at least 3 years on mission-critical projects (data centers, high-tech manufacturing).
• PE license required; ability to obtain licenses in multiple states.
• Proficiency in power distribution, grounding, UPS, emergency power, and redundancy for high-reliability facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design process for mission-critical projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
• Develop power distribution, grounding, UPS, emergency power, and redundancy strategies for data centers and other high-availability environments.
• Perform short-circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies to optimize reliability and safety.
• Collaborate with architectural, mechanical, and structural teams to integrate electrical systems into overall project design.
• Provide field support during construction and resolve technical challenges.
• Manage client relationships, present technical solutions, and ensure alignment with operational goals.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving design standards and practices.
• Stay current with emerging technologies in the mission-critical industry and apply innovations.
