Job summary

WSP is seeking a Lead Consultant, Electrical Engineer in Greenville, SC. You will lead electrical design for multi-discipline projects, coordinate with teams, and supervise junior engineers.

The role focuses on electrical infrastructure for healthcare, commercial, and utility-scale projects. You will engage from design through construction close-out, ensuring quality and compliance with energy codes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; 7–10 years experience in design for power generation, transmission, distribution.
• Engineer license required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Knowledge of electrical infrastructure design, especially healthcare facilities.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Knowledge of energy codes, regulations, and construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop drawings and specification documents for architects, contractors, and owners.
• Coordinate design activities with multi-discipline team members.
• Design electric distribution systems and fire alarm systems.
• Design lighting and lighting control systems.
• Perform electrical load, short circuit, and voltage drop calculations.
• Provide construction administration and project oversight.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in client meetings.
• Ensure compliance with codes and company policies.
