Job summary

A leading architectural and engineering firm in the state of New York is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer III. This role involves leading the design and delivery of electrical systems for various building projects, overseeing the electrical team, and ensuring quality and compliance in execution. Candidates should possess at least a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience and required PE licensure.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• PE licensure required.
• Experience in managing and overseeing junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design and technical execution of projects.
• Produce electrical BIM models ensuring compliance with standards.
• Oversee preparation of electrical drawings and documentation.
• Coordinate electrical loading and calculations for projects.
• Lead construction administration tasks, including submittal reviews.

Skills

Knowledge of electrical engineering principles

BIM software experience (Revit preferred)

AutoCAD software experience

Specification software experience (SpecLink preferred)

Microsoft Office proficiency

Knowledge of building, energy and electrical codes

Excellent verbal and written communication
