Job summary

Acron Aviation is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer for the Recorders product line. The role focuses on design, testing, and integration of CCAs with analog, digital, power, and high-speed circuits, including documentation and obsolescence management.

The position requires coordinating with software, FPGA firmware, test, and certification teams to ensure robust, regulation-compliant avionics solutions across commercial and military platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with RTCA DO-160 design assurance guidance for airborne electronic hardware.
• Knowledge of engineering design standards for commercial aviation industry.
• Experience with FPGA Firmware development and DO-254 is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and integration of CCAs including analog, digital, power and high-speed circuits.
• Create documentation including design descriptions, trades, requirement traceability, BOM, PCB design data packages.
• Oversee PCB layout activities and interface with software, mechanical, FPGA firmware, and certification teams.
• Conduct peer reviews, PDRs, CDRs, and other required design reviews.
• Perform evaluation, simulation, breadboarding, and troubleshooting of circuits; support part shortage/obsolescence efforts.
