Job summary

Torch Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide advisory and assistance services to our program office at Eglin AFB, FL. The role focuses on avionics qualification, design review, and test execution to support government programs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, DoD acquisition, and security clearances, with experience in microelectronics, circuit card assemblies, and failure analysis, plus excellent analytical skills.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, aerospace, or equivalent engineering discipline or equivalent is required.
• At least 12 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering.
• Active Secret DoW security clearance, must be eligible for a Top Secret DoW clearance; must maintain clearance throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Avionics team in ensuring successful qualification of line replaceable units and flight sensor assemblies.
• Review contractor designs, perform independent analysis, and provide recommendations to the government concerning the designs.
• Responsible for reviewing contractor proposed test plans and ensuring they are adequately specific to test all the relevant requirements.
• Observe testing as needed and will be required to review test results and ensure adequate analysis is contained in test reports.
• Apply technical knowledge in support of failure analysis and be an active participant in any root cause/corrective action investigations with the electronic assemblies.
• Review designs of circuits and drawings of electronic assemblies.
• Support failure analysis and troubleshooting.
• Review test plans to verify that all requirements will be met by the methodologies used.
• Review test reports to ensure results vs plans are clearly documented.
