Job summary

AIR, a leader in high-tech automation, seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to design electrical systems for custom automation equipment. You will create schematics, select components, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, reliable designs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 5–10 years of experience in automation environments. Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, or EPLAN is preferred, along with knowledge of NFPA 79, CE, and SEMI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of electrical design experience preferred.
• Experience with automation equipment and manufacturing environments.
• Experience with NFPA 79 standards.
• Familiarity with CE and SEMI standards is a plus.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for custom automation equipment.
• Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation.
• Select electrical components and develop bills of materials (BOMs).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the design and build process.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
• Provide technical support during manufacturing, integration, and testing.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and support system commissioning activities.
• Manage multiple projects while meeting quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
• Identify opportunities for design improvements and process efficiencies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and company quality standards.
