Job summary

KLH Engineers is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for complex projects in the AEC industry. Based in Fort Thomas, KY, this role leads project teams, mentors junior staff, and ensures high-level electrical design and documentation.

You will design distribution systems for low and medium voltages, coordinate with utilities, perform studies and prepare master specs, while aligning with NEC, IBC, IECC, and NFPA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year university.
• 10+ years of applicable experience within the AEC industry preferred.
• Licensed professional engineer (PE) is required.
• Knowledge of NEC, IBC, IECC and NFPA standards including 72, 101, 110.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentorship to technical employees on their teams.
• Lead project teams and delegate tasks while reviewing work.
• Perform quality control reviews and sign off on project quality and completeness.
• Educate project teams on engineering issues to prevent recurrence.
• Design electrical distribution systems for low and medium voltages.
• Coordinate with local utilities and design site electrical infrastructure.
