Job summary

Sterling Engineering is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to lead project teams in the execution of mid-to-large scale electrical engineering projects.

You will oversee design reviews, resolve technical issues, and ensure high-quality project delivery while maintaining effective communication with internal teams, management, and clients. Qualifications include 8+ years in Distribution Design, knowledge of industry codes and standards, and the potential for a BS in EE with a PE license preferred.

Overview: The Sr. Electrical Engineer leads project teams in the execution of mid-to-large scale electrical engineering projects. This role is responsible for overseeing design reviews, resolving technical issues, and ensuring high-quality project delivery while maintaining effective communication with internal teams, management, and clients.

Job Duties:

• Leads projects and project team in the execution of several mid-to-large scale projects
• Communicates and coordinates project activities with internal team members
• Performs Quality Assurance (QA) design reviews and Peer Reviews for all project documents
• Performs peer reviews and mentors project team members
• Assists in the preparation of scoping documents and fees
• Prepares and reviews project drawings in TED
• Resolves design questions and technical concerns

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience with Distribution Design (experience preferred)
• Knowledge of industry codes and standards
• Ability to interface effectively with clients, employees, and management team
• Motivated to continually take on more responsibility and lead the team
• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology (Preferred)
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (Preferred)
• Knowledge of PPL Electric Utilities standards and distribution design practices (Preferred)
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
