Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency with laboratory benchtop equipment and RF measurements.
  • Excellent technical writing skills for complex technical reports and briefings.

Responsibilities

  • Research complex circuit components, create detailed schematics and perform tests.
  • Work with digital interfaces like SPI, I2C, UART to understand data flow.
  • Measure and analyze RF signals to identify modulation schemes and bandwidths.
  • Create device characterization data and in-depth analysis summaries for customers.

With your advanced technical expertise and proven leadership skills, you will lead complex electrical analysis projects, manage cross-functional technical initiatives, and provide strategic technical guidance while developing junior engineering talent. You will meticulously investigate complex electrical designs, analyze sophisticated communication signals, and quantify RF characteristics to explain how intricate devices operate. This senior role requires exceptional technical depth, methodical analysis skills, the ability to synthesize complex technical information into clear, comprehensive reports for our customers, and demonstrated capability to influence project outcomes across multiple departments.Responsibilities:Research complex circuit components, create detailed schematics and perform sophisticated laboratory environment time and frequency domain tests to understand intricate circuit functions and device operational purposeWork with various digital communication protocols like SPI, I2C, UART, and more specialized interfaces to understand complex data flow within sophisticated devicesMeasure and analyze challenging radio frequency (RF) signals from electronic devices to identify complex physical layer characteristics such as advanced modulation schemes, operating frequencies, occupied bandwidths, transmission power, etc.Analyze and decode complex RF modulation types to extract data and understand intricate signal encoding mechanismsCreate detailed device characterization data and in-depth analysis summaries for coherent and comprehensive reports and briefings for customersStay current with cutting-edge electronic technologies and analytical techniquesProvide technical guidance, oversee project execution, and foster a collaborative environment to achieve project goalsDevelop innovative solutions to improve analysis processes, methodologies, and technical approaches that enhance program performance and departmental efficiencyQualifications:Required:Active Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCIB.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 7+ years of experienceDeep expertise in electronic schematic design and interpretation of complex circuitsAdvanced expertise in identifying electronic components and characterizing sophisticated circuitsAdvanced proficiency with laboratory benchtop equipment (Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Vector Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, etc.)Comprehensive understanding of RF communications principles and specialized RF measurementsExcellent technical writing skills for complex technical reportsAbility to mentor junior engineersDesired:ABET MSE in Electrical EngineeringAdvanced knowledge of IED and/or UXS techniques, tactics, and procedures (TTP)Proficiency developing C/C++ or equivalent code to interface with sophisticated hardware and associated interfaces (SPI, I2C, etc)Extensive experience with Software Defined Radio (SDR) hardware/software integrationAdvanced knowledge of communication security protocolsExpert-level MATLAB/LabVIEW modeling and simulation skillsSpecialized knowledge of RF principles and signal analysisDeep understanding of embedded software/hardware systems-What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity.At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
