Job summary

J2 Company in Jackson, TN seeks an Electrical Construction Superintendent to lead a team of electricians on commercial projects. You will oversee installation, repair of electrical systems, and coordination with mechanicals while enforcing safety standards and project deadlines.

The role requires Journeyman Electrician experience, NEC knowledge, and strong leadership. You will manage budgets, purchasing, and schedule adherence on multi-site projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of NEC code and construction practices.
• Journeyman Electrician with experience supervising field crews.
• Must ensure OSHA safety, health, and quality standards.
• Ability to manage relationships with stakeholders, clients, and vendors.
• Ability to set milestones, manage budgets, and assign work to meet deadlines.
• Oversee all facets of the construction process to maintain cost control.
• Maintain project oversight to meet objectives and schedules.
• Oversee purchasing and project costs with the PM team.
• Review documentation to ensure compliance with codes and regs.
• Demonstrate leadership and strong verbal/written communication.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with team.
• Lead field work activities and operate tools when needed.
• Collaborate with prefabrication, purchasing, and accounting.
• Maintain and manage project schedules and budgets.
• Provide direction and training to less experienced staff.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct on site.
• Manage field technicians and time usage efficiently.
• Order materials timely and track inventory on site.
• Ensure equipment and tools are properly maintained.
• Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures.
• Enforce company policies and safety procedures.
• Operate company vehicles and adhere to safety rules.
• Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings; keep records.
• Troubleshoot motor and control systems; perform routine maintenance.
• Maintain communication with Project Management and stakeholders.
