Job summary

Godshall & Godshall Personnel Consultants, Inc. seeks an experienced Operations Manager for the Charleston, SC office to lead large-scale electrical construction projects across commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and water/wastewater sectors.

You will guide field teams, oversee execution, and ensure project profitability while maintaining safety and quality. This direct-hire role requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent, with 10+ years in electrical construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with extensive field experience.
• 10+ years in electrical construction project management and operations.
• Strong background leading large-scale electrical projects (commercial/industrial/infrastructure).
• Experience with projects like airport lighting or water/wastewater facilities preferred.
• Past success managing projects valued at $30M+.

Responsibilities

• Oversee execution and performance of complex electrical construction projects throughout their lifecycle.
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, foremen, and field personnel to ensure successful delivery.
• Conduct site visits to support field operations, troubleshoot issues, and maintain momentum.
• Review schedules, plans, specs, budgets, and installation requirements for alignment with objectives.
• Support project administration (RFIs, submittals, procurement, changes, forecasting, billing, closeout).
• Monitor financial performance including cost tracking, cash flow, and profitability analysis.
• Identify and address operational risks and bottlenecks.
• Promote safety, quality, communication across teams.
• Mentor and develop project managers and field leaders.
