Job summary

Hatch is seeking a Commissioning Electrical Engineer in Salt Lake City to lead the testing and turnover of the Electrical Distribution System from construction through commissioning and handover to operations. You will work with Engineering, Construction, and Owner’s teams to deliver compliant, safe, and timely commissioning outcomes.

The role requires extensive experience in construction, testing, and operation of high/medium voltage systems, with strong leadership, planning, and communication

Qualifications

• Professional Electrical Engineer background or equivalent technical experience.
• Site experience in operating plants preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years in a similar role on major projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
• Experience with hazard identification and risk management.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution system testing and commissioning processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed testing plans for Electrical Distribution System.
• Lead safety management during Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning phases.
• Ensure proper documentation, testing records, and turnover packages are prepared.
• Coordinate interfaces with engineering, construction, and operations teams.
