Job summary

NOV in Houston, TX is seeking an Electrical Assembler III to join our senior technical team. You will assemble complex electrical systems, interpret advanced schematics, perform precision soldering, and troubleshoot wiring and components with minimal supervision.

You will mentor junior Electrical Assemblers I and II, contribute to first-article builds and prototypes with engineering, and help maintain accurate quality records and assembly documentation in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred.
• 4–6 years electrical assembly experience required.
• Advanced proficiency with soldering, crimping, and wiring schematics interpretation.
• Solid understanding of electrical components, circuits, and safe handling practices.
• Familiarity with inspection tools, multimeters, and ESD protocols.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
• Prior experience assembling control panels, PLC systems, or industrial wiring applications.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire complex electrical systems including panels and harnesses.
• Interpret and work from detailed schematics, wire lists, and layouts.
• Perform precision soldering and cable routing; install connectors and components.
• Conduct functional testing: continuity, voltage, and resistance checks.
• Troubleshoot wiring and component issues at the assembly level.
• Mentor Electrical Assemblers I and II; support engineering initiatives.
• Maintain accurate assembly and quality records; report nonconformances.
