COSA seeks a Senior Assistant Solicitor (Elder Law Attorney) to lead elder law work, guardianship petitions, and counsel for Delaware County’s Older Adult Protective Services. The attorney collaborates with COSA staff and outside counsel.

Responsibilities include drafting contracts, reviewing RFPs, advising on compliance, and educating residents on elder care and related legal matters. Some remote flexibility after probation.

Qualificações

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school with at least five years of experience.
• Bar admission or waiver eligibility in PA required.
• Experience in elder law or public service is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide legal counsel and representation to COSA staff, including Elder Law matters and protective services.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and RFPs to ensure compliance with laws and COSA procedures.
• Lead coordination with outside counsel and manage litigation as needed.
• Educate residents and professionals on Elder Law topics such as powers of attorney and guardianship.
