Maximus is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to lead Elastic SIEM engineering efforts on-site in San Antonio, TX. Candidates must hold an active TS/SCI clearance and have extensive Elastic Stack experience.

You will administer Elastic SIEM across sensitive networks, develop detection rules, and collaborate with cyber operators to support threat detection and incident investigations. Prior DoD/CSSP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI clearance required.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
7+ years hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience.
Advanced proficiency leading Elastic SIEM integrations and troubleshooting.

Responsabilités

Lead complex SIEM engineering tasks with minimal supervision and provide technical guidance to the team.
Administer and sustain the Elastic SIEM platform across multiple environments.
Monitor SIEM health, perform capacity planning, and resolve outages.
Develop, tune, and maintain detection rules, alerts, and dashboards in Elastic.
Ingest and validate log data from endpoint, network, cloud, and application telemetry.
Collaborate with analysts to support threat detection and incident workflows.
Identify opportunities to improve SIEM coverage and data quality.
