Job summary

ECS Federal is seeking a Sr. Elastic Engineer to join our Professional team at Scott AFB, IL. You will design, deploy, and optimize Elastic Stack environments, building pipelines, dashboards, and automation to scale operations.

You will collaborate with engineering, DevOps, cloud, and client teams to deliver resilient Elastic solutions while ensuring health visibility. The ideal candidate has hands-on Elastic Stack experience and enjoys designing, coding, and deploying complex systems.

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on expertise with Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, Beats, Fleet).
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Experience designing, deploying, and optimizing production-scale Elastic environments.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift).

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Elastic Stack environments across on-premises and cloud platforms.
• Build ingestion pipelines, index strategies, dashboards, and automation workflows.
• Develop scripts and integrations to streamline operations and monitoring.
• Lead design reviews and advise teams on Elastic best practices.
• Maintain runbooks and documentation; monitor health and optimize performance.
