Providence St. Joseph Hospital Orange in Orange, CA invites a Senior EKG Technician to join a Magnet-designated, patient-focused care team.

You will perform electrocardiograms, manage EKG data, and support stress testing in collaboration with physicians and multiple departments. The role requires completion of an approved training program or equivalent, plus BLS certification; experience with Holter monitoring and acute hospital settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved training program or equivalent education/experience.
• Current BLS certification by American Heart Association.
• Cardiology experience, preferably in a hospital setting; internships accepted.

Responsabilités

• Obtain electrocardiograms and manage EKG data, including filing and retrieval of patient information.
• Collaborate with physicians and multiple departments to support stress testing modalities.
• Apply and scan Holter monitors; respond to code blue emergencies with cardiac monitoring.
• Contribute to clerical, transportation, training and cleaning tasks as needed to ensure patient care.

Senior EKG Technician at Providence St. Joseph Hospital Orange in Orange, CA. This position is Full Time and will work 8-hour, Day shifts.

Under the general supervision of the Non-Invasive Cardiovascular & Neurology Manager, the Cardiology tech obtains electrocardiograms, manages and processes EKG data including filing and retrieving patient data. This position works collaboratively with multiple departments and physicians to provide all modalities of stress testing. These technicians are proficient in Holter monitor application and scanning. Cardiology technicians respond to code blue emergency calls providing cardiac monitoring and electrocardiograms. The techs also perform any job related functions (clerical, transportation, training and cleaning), as needed to provide optimal patient care.

Required qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Completion of an approved training program. Or equivalent educ/experience
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• Cardiology experience, preferably in a hospital setting. Cardiology internships accepted.

Preferred qualifications:

• 1 year Acute hospital experience performing electrocardiograms, stress testing and Holter monitor application and scanning.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay Range: $26.30 - $40.25
