Job summary
Patriot Erectors, LLC is seeking a field-based EH&S professional to oversee safety for South Texas projects in Adkins, TX. You will implement robust safety programs, perform risk assessments, and lead training on site and at the shop, ensuring compliance and incident prevention.
You will partner with project managers and crews to develop practical solutions, enforce standards, and drive continuous safety improvements in a hands-on, field-first role.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in EH&S roles within manufacturing, industrial, or high-growth environments.
- Working knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations for the trades you’ll oversee.
- Strong communication and listening skills — able to take feedback from the crew’s perspective without passing judgment.
- Excellent recordkeeping, including controlled documentation and change management.
- Comfortable accessing elevated work via ladders or scaffolding to evaluate conditions.
- A hands-on, proactive approach, with demonstrated initiative, identifying future risks and implementing countermeasures.
Responsibilities
- Pre-Task Risk Assessment: Preview projects and project sites before work begins to identify safety risks and plan the right controls.
- Site Presence: Visit active project sites to assess ongoing conditions and ensure compliance — your eyes on the work, regularly.
- Partner & Solve: Work with project management teams and field crews to develop and implement practical solutions to site safety issues.
- Records & Compliance: Maintain safety documentation — including OSHA 300 logs — with audit-ready accuracy and controlled document management.
- Training: Train employees on safe work practices and maintain safety training certifications, including OSHA OTI.
- Accountability: Enforce minimum safety standards with employees and subcontractors — coach first, and act decisively when standards aren’t met.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify emerging risks and implement countermeasures before they become incidents.

- Bilingual English/Spanish — a real advantage for field training in South Texas
- Based at our Adkins, TX, operation, splitting time between the facility and active project sites across the South Texas region.
