La-Z-Boy Incorporated seeks an experienced EHS leader in Dayton, TN to oversee plant safety, OSHA compliance, training, and environmental health programs at a multi-unit site. The role supervises a nursing and security team and partners with management to embed a strong safety culture.
You will manage workers’ compensation, regulatory reporting, and relationships with federal and local agencies, travel up to 15%, and guide safety operating systems across operations.

This position manages and provides professional EHS leadership and guidance to key portions of the La-Z-Boy enterprise. Directly responsible for all issues involving Plant Safety/Health, OSHA compliance, Safety Training, Development/ maintenance of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)Policy and Procedures, Site Security, and Managing the Worker’s Compensation system at a single location with multiple business units. This position manages multiple direct reports as well as a nursing and security team.
Responsible for managing Worker's Compensation costs of $50K - $6.5 million; manage and lead OSHA compliance initiatives and potential fine mitigation; manages overall environmental, safety and health system for the location.
Directs environmental compliance to mitigate possible fines, reduce environmental impact and protect La-Z-Boy’s reputation.
Manages a team of up to 7 direct or indirect reports.
Office environment / no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands.
