Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health & Safety or related field
• 5+ years managing safety teams
• 10+ years in heavy civil construction
• Underground construction experience preferred
• Familiar with NYCDEP safety regs
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Proficient with Microsoft 365
• Current certifications: LOTO, Confined Space, RCRA, HAZWOPER 30 Hour OSHA

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce project health and safety plans with site safety reps
• Maintain a SAFE jobsite and correct deficiencies
• Oversee safety orientations, toolbox talks, and daily stretch sessions
• Prepare accident reports and investigate incidents
• Maintain MSDS and Hazardous Communication Program
• Conduct safety audits and site inspections daily
• Coordinate with Project Manager and Superintendents on safety plans
• Gather safety data and generate daily/Monthly safety reports
• Lead safety training and incident investigations across sites
